CN Utility Consulting’s Director of Consulting Services Will Porter will present during a series of Learning Labs at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association TechAdvantage Conference & Expo. Porter’s presentation will take place at the Ernest Morial Convention Center on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. in New Orleans, La.

Porter’s presentation, Benchmarking Utility Vegetation Management: Cooperative Efforts to Discover Best Practices, will focus on how cooperatives can utilize a benchmark program to better understand the utility vegetation management (UVM) process that works best under variable field conditions.

“I hope to show how co-ops can pool their information in a systematic survey and database to discover how cooperative UVM is evolving to meeting safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness and fire prevention objectives,” said Porter.
