

Consulting Division Expands at CNUC

Will Porter joined CNUC in 2008, bringing with him nearly 20 years of experience in the utility vegetation management (UVM) industry. During his time at CNUC, Porter has directed many program and compliance reviews and special projects and has performed detailed analysis of all existing UVM metrics. He is the principal author of CNUC’s benchmarking publications and monitors and evaluates UVM legal and regulatory issues and trends in North America and abroad.
Seth Reid began his career at CNUC in September 2011 as a consulting utility arborist. Before joining CNUC, Reid received his master’s degree in biology from California State University, Fresno, and spent five years working for Pacific Gas and Electric Company, first as a consulting utility arborist and later as a systems reliability and hazard tree risk assessment arborist.
Both Porter and Reid are International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborists and Utility Specialists.
As director of consulting services, Porter will be responsible for expanding CNUC’s consulting team, assisting in the legal and regulatory arena, and overseeing a new consulting services ranging from special bench-marking projects to improved LIDAR applications.
Reid will report directly to Porter.
