On May 14, CN Utility Consulting (CNUC) Lead Consulting Utility Forester Ben Keck and Western Regional Supervisor Jimmy Williams spoke to students in a Natural Resources course at Shasta Community College in Redding, California. They spoke about the utility vegetation management (UVM) industry.

Ben and Jimmy discussed the power generation and delivery process, the importance of maintaining vegetation near power lines, how different utilities run their vegetation management programs, and the “right tree, right place” concept. Ben also explained his role at CN Utility Consulting and other careers in UVM.
